Manufacturing industrial filters
The technology of dust extraction is slowly coming of age - possibly brought about as much through environmental awareness and concern as from commercial considerations. Nevertheless, it is to the advantage of all, as improved extraction/collection not only improves the environment, but also frequently results in increased product recovery.
Whilst there are many types of extractors used in industrial
processes, the ubiquitous bag-house is possibly the most common,
and although it has many forms, it usually consists basically of
a fan and filter elements in a housing - with some type of device
for periodic cleaning.
It is inevitable that as the world economy develops and improves,
those individuals or organisations that historically have
imported their requirements, will need to consider whether their
local or proposed market has reached a sufficient size to justify
in-house manufacturing instead. This will not only result in
financial savings, but will create local employment, and assist
in improving their country's economy. Quite frequently, there are
grants and other inducements to this end.
Micronair have been involved in the manufacture of filter
products for more than 25 years, and have designed systems and
built a range of machinery for producing the entire spectrum of
filter devices used in commercial and industrial environments.
We are able to provide the expertise and know-how that will
permit the manufacture of these filters, including the
methodology of assembly, the supply and commissioning of
specialised machinery, the sourcing and selection of the correct
materials and components, and the construction of specialised
laboratory equipment to test the finished products, or to conduct
on-site installations.
All stages of the operation are covered by individually prepared
manuals - including the various mathematical calculations
required to correctly size the filters for specific applications,
comprehensive lists of material and media sources, and the
general assembly techniques. Additionally, we have a vast and
comprehensive database covering the specifications and patterns
of most filter sleeves, bags, tubes & elements. These are of
course available to our clients at no extra cost, and email now
means that both the written and drawn details can be readily
transmitted
Our expertise also includes several related technologies,
including the manufacture of absolute (HEPA) filters, where the
correct media usage and methods of fabrication are critical for
satisfactory performance.
Here again, we are able to provide the sources of the materials,
the detailed specifications of the major components, and
individually prepared technical manuals.
Other areas of expertise include the manufacture and applications
of:
HEPA filters for absolute filtration
Ceramic elements for high temperature applications
Filter cloths for liquid/solid separation
Filters for domestic & commercial air conditioning
